During this episode, Emily and Dane nerd out with me about their process improvement approach, called Enable Management Systems.
The Enable Management System is all about helping everyone in the organization to unite around common goals, while engaging in routine dialog about what is working and what is not working. This is a true passion for Emily and Dane. As you listen in, I think you will see why.
Dane DeLozier is passionate about implementing Enable™ - a proven model for execution. Through the course of 25 years' in progressive leadership positions in technology and manufacturing companies, Dane has developed a highly reliable process for executing strategies. This process has been proven by sustainable growth in enterprise value, most recently more than tripling the enterprise value for Piezo Technologies in just four years. The process has also generated substantial returns in revenue and enterprise value in the start-up of three companies, acquisition of three, and sale of four.
Emily Bopp! Emily brings unique insight to Enable, Inc., drawing on over twenty years of entrepreneurial and small business management, leadership and development consulting, humanitarian work, various teaching roles, and a season of full-time motherhood. With a bias for action and an eye for excellence, she is passionate about maintaining clarity and focus in order to help companies achieve targeted outcomes.
Emily has learned a universal truth and seen it manifested in several non-profits, small businesses she's worked for or consulted, large corporations addressing leadership and development issues, and even in her own home with her children, and that is this: accountability does not apply to ideas, but to actions, and ideas can only be made actionable if they have a context and are concrete. Emily finds personal fulfillment in helping businesses eliminate ambiguity in order to execute objectives well.
During this time of uncertainty, Emily and Dane have made an amazing pivot bringing forward a solution they are calling Enable Crisis Management - An expedited path to implementing the Enable Management System. A solution that is meant to help teams stay connected when facing a crisis.

Episode 10 - Nerding Out with Jacqueline Martinez About the Future of HR
Monday Apr 13, 2020
Monday Apr 13, 2020
In this episode in #nerdout with a fellow #improvementnerd, Jacqueline Martinez. Be warned, this gets really nerdy, really fast as Jacqueline starts the episode out by talking about the value that HR can create in an organization. As she shares this summary, she talks about the way HR functions as an end-to-end value stream, what she calls "hire to retire".
Jacqueline gets way outside of the traditional silos of HR - which is often a collection of different departments with very different goals.... the recruiting department manages the job website, job posts, and paperwork to hire people. Payroll does what they do. Benefits does their own thing. And collaboration is low. In Jacqueline's mind, all these things need to be seemless, and all working together to achieve one thing - to help people be their best selves.
To follow Jacqueline's journey please follow her on LinkedIn and check out her podcast from Coffee to Wine.

Join me as I #nerdout with Nick Smarrelli, CEO of GadellNet. As Nick Smarrelli puts it, "creating a culture that is values-driven is the responsibility for every leader".
Organization's values can't be complex, or un-actionable. And that they can't just be a collection of words posted on the wall. Values should serve as the organization's compass. Values should be role modeled by everyone interaction. Values should be integrated. Most importantly, values should be the things that unite people together when times are tough, or when an organization is facing uncertainty.
For Nick and the GadellNet team, values are the touchstone of the company's success and growth.

Episode 5 - Nerding Out About Everything Communication with Alex Perry
Monday Mar 09, 2020
Monday Mar 09, 2020
In this episode Alex Perry asks one of the hardest questions I have ever been asked. "What improvement or important change has ever happened absent of good communication?". I was stumped. Still am actually.
During this episode, you will see that Alex is a ball of energy. Her path to becoming a professional coach, like most, was not a straight line. In fact, before starting her consulting business, Alex was working bedside with patients as a speech language pathologist. Along the way, Alex felt a nudge, and then a louder less subtle nudge to pivot her career and to help others share their story, and to speak with confidence. Since then, Alex has grown her consulting practice to help a variety of people hone their voice and share their story - in a variety of ways. Whether it is podcasting, speaking at conferences, hosting better meetings, or delivery a TEDTalk, Alex has helped her clients communicate with and inspire countless audiences.
To follow Alex's journey, which I strongly recommended, please check her out on LinkedIn, and be sure to visit her website - www.pswithalex.com. Also, be sure to stay tuned to Alex's journey as she releases her upcoming book and podcast, Minivan Mogul.
And why you are at it. Check us out at www.thegreendotgroup.com.
